Christ Church is one of the remaining architecture of the Dutch in Melaka. The structure was built during the middle of the 18th century. Christ Church was remarkably made by red bricks that came from Holland. Until today, no major repairs were made to this church as it has been preserved for generations. It's now one of the popular Melaka attractions as it provide different sights of Melaka.
Inside the church you’ll be able to see age old pews that are already more than 200 years old. The beams that support the church are all made from a single tree. What made this fact remarkable is that these beams could go as long as 15 meters. Paintings from the same century are still on display. When it was reconstructed, Dutch Lutherans used this structure but when they moved out, it was eventually used by the Anglicans. Entrance to this Church is free. However, tourists are highly recommended to make a donation to ensure the church is well kept.
