Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport Kuala Lumpur

Before the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, tourists and locals use the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport as their point of entry to Malaysia. The airport was inaugurated for public use in 1965, immediately becoming one of Asia’s busiest airports. The constant influx of tourists and the increasing use of the airplane as mode of transportation, another airport should be built. When the Kuala Lumpur International Airport was opened in 1998, the airport has been transformed into a local airport to cater to other tourists interested in Kuala Lumpur tourism. By the time the operations is to be transferred to the present international airport, it was already accepting more than 15 million passengers – bigger than its capacity.
