Very impressed with the helpful and polite staff, excellent breakfast, general cleanliness and appearance of the hotel rooms, free wireless etc. the staff went out of the way to help with the parking, provide directions, ensure smooth checking in.
4 hours after checking into the room, i used the toilet. it was not flushed and the previous guest had done his big business into it. it was too much of a hassle to change rooms hence i didn't bother to tell the staff. just flushed the toilet. otherwise everything else was fine.

Basically a good mid-range hotel, conveniently situated near the centre of the city, at the lower end of the price scale.
Staff make all the difference. the first time we stayed here (two weeks before), there was a problem with cockroaches, which the efficient staff on duty at the time dealt with immediately and satisfactorily. this time, there was a problem with a slight leak from the toilet cistern. we requested an extra bath-mat to put under the cistern to absorb the very small amount of overflow. this was readily agreet to, but the mat never appeared. we asked the front desk personnel for information about dining locally. their advice was so incorrect it suggests the hotel has no effective plan in place to make all front desk staff familiar with guests likely needs and how to respond factually.

Really good value for money. the rich and famous may want something more up-market.
There were cockroaches in our first room, so the staff immediately moved us to a second room, with no hassles at all. well done.
