The International Medical University was established in 1992. Previously known as the International Medical College, it eventually became a university in 1999. That year also marks the transfer of the school from Petaling Jaya to Kuala Lumpur. Even though the school is relatively new, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have enough facilities. International Medical University is one of the forerunners in medical studies offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. What makes this university even more special is that their special courses are not only great in advancing health care but also in research as premier medical knowledge became a part of Kuala Lumpur attractions.
With all the facilities, the International Medical University was able to attract not only students from Malaysia but also from neighboring countries. They have specific programs for foreign students to ensure their studies are according to their own country’s policies. They also have tie-ups with medical universities in different countries as it also promote Kuala Lumpur tourism in medical services. This ensures their knowledge in the medical field is constantly updated through updates from other medical schools from North America, Australia and Europe.
