Sliema Hotels and Accommodation

Sliema, located on the northeast coast of Malta, is known as a resort for wealthy Maltese citizens and foreign expatriates. A more modern town than many of the villages and cities in Malta, Sliema is filled with hotels, rental apartments, clubs, and shops. The city is punctuated by many feasts and celebrations, including the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jul, and the Feast of St. Gregory in September. The Sliema Sea Fort offers a relaxing walk and a beautiful view of the city and the sea. The Sliema Promenade offers shops, cafes, and restaurants, and is the social center of the city. A little off the beaten path is The Church of the Sacred Heart, offering architecture enthusiasts a view of period religious artwork.
