Chiapas (Province) Hotels and Accommodation

Chiapas State is the southern most state in the country of Mexico. There is a border with Guatemala to the east and the Pacific Ocean lies to the south. The Sierra Madre mountains dominate throughout much of Chiapas, although there are some lower lying lands in the centre of the state. The capital is Tuxtla Gutierrez. Other important cities include Tapachula, San Cristobal de las Casas and Comitan. The state has a tropical climate and there is a large rain forested area.
