Mexico is well known for its wide variety of indigenous wildlife. Known for housing hundreds of rare species of birds, reptiles and mammals, the Mexican vacation is absolutely perfect for animal lovers and aviary enthusiasts. While no man-made facility could ever do justice to every last one of these special creatures, the Bird/Wildlife Sanctuary of the city of Ixtapa is as good an attempt as any.

The birds and animals here are mostly pretty rare and well taken care of by capable staff. The people who work here are well versed in animal knowledge and can answer nearly any question you might have. While many of the staff here only speak Spanish, there are also bilingual staff members who, if they cannot provide all the information you need, can translate questions asked of another staff member. This stop is a great vacation destination for families, as children tend to be amongst the most fascinated and devout of all animal enthusiasts.
