About thirty kilometers to the south of the city of Marakesh, you'll find the Ourika Valley, or as some call it, the Valley of Flushing Water. The valley is an absolutely gorgeous hidden spot, covered in picturesque green foliage and tall trees. The sunset casts an otherworldly orange glow on the valley, giving it the appearance of a fairytale painting by Maxfield Parrish. The valley also provides an incredible view of Jebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in all of North Africa.

A tarmac road winding through the valley will eventually take you to Setti Fatma, about thirty seven kilometers in. Setti Fatma is an area famous for collection of gorgeous waterfalls (seven in total) and is the perfect setting for an afternoon getaway from the busy streets of the city of Marakesh. The attraction of the valley is really the dazzling array of colors. Fresh shades of oranges, greens, blues, reds and yellows blend together to create almost artificial appearance.
