A Train Hotel Amsterdam Location (Map)
This hotel enjoys a ideal location right in the city centre of Amsterdam, in front of the central railway station. Dam Square is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel and the shopping district is around the corner. The Red-light district is closeby and it is possible to start a canal boat tour opposite the hotel.
Tourist attractions, pubs, restaurants, theatres, bars and clubs are all within walking distance. The hotel is only 15-20 minutes away from Schiphol Airport, RAI and WTC. And all major tram, bus, metro lines and trains run from the central station.
How to reach the A Train Hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can walk to the hotel in a few minutes. Take the West exit and turn right past the TAXI stand. Walk for 50 meters, turn left and cross the bridge, the A-Train Hotel is the 6th building on the right, across the street.

Staff was friendly. we arrived early and no room was ready. we were allowed to have the free breakfast and sit in the breakfast room while we decided how to spend the day until we could check in. convenient location. Bed bugs - i was bitten but my husband was not. we shared one bed.
the hotel advertises 24 hour check in. this was true enough in that we checked in and stored luggage. however, we had indicated early arrival and had hoped to secure our room early after traveling from the states all night.

Staff are really friendly, looked after us well, and also looked after our bags after we had checked out on our last day. there is a lift which is a big bonus in a small amsterdam hotel. room was warm and very clean. nice comfy beds, tv, and a nice clean bathroom with towels etc. i definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. The staff was very friendly and helpful.The beds were very soft. we did not take advantage of the breakfast included in the room price, as is was not at all appetizing and it offered instant coffee in a city where one can get a very good, inexpensive cup of coffee at almost every corner. Anonymous
