 "standard chain"
Reasonable hotel. Standard chain type. The one thing in its favour is it central location. The one thing that might make me look elsewhere is that I was charged 2.70 euros for a cup of hot water and a splash of milk so that I could make a cup of decaf tea, I supplied the tea bag, a bit cheap skate I thought!

"Not what I booked and thought I'd paid for!!!"
Firstly it is a nice hotel in a very nice location. BUT... I booked a double bed and received a tiny room with 2 twins pushed together that came apart all night. Asked to change and was told to check out at 11am and come back at 4pm. At 5pm a room was ready and upon opening the door it was again 2 twins pushed together. after taking or suitcases back to reception we were eventually given a room with a double bed. In our first room the 2 red cushions on top of the bed were filthy and stained and there was also a ladies bra underneath the bed! I would add that the reception staff were very helpful. My biggest gripe is that when I booked on easytobook.com I was quoted £147 for the 2 nights. When I checked out at the hotel I was invoiced for £208!!!

 "Fews bad surprises"
The fact is that rooms price is very expensive! And it has no reasons to be. There is not any parkings , even if it was said on internet that they would be one. And the rooms are not so incredibles.... Only the bed was very comfortable.

 "Fine"
From your page, the proposed room seems very different: much bigger but in fact it was not the case. The room was very, very small. It was really difficult to move in the room for one person, for 2 was a job of coordination. But we are flexible, no problem for 2 nights.

 "Great hotel."
This was such a good location to stay in. If this is your first trip to Amsterdam then it may be better to stay closer to Dam Square. I travel to the city 3/4 times a year and would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was terrific with a great variety. Staff so helpful. The only downside was we did have quite a few noisy guests on our floor. Other than that, give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

"too expensive for what it has to offer"
When booking in a best western, one expects to have a certain level of quality. The rooms were much too small, the type where you have to close the door to access the window or push the chair under the small table to access your bed, etc..; the bed itself was barely long enough to accomodate my modest size, and the noise from the corridor was an accompanying presence all night long. My phone apparentely didn't work so wake up calls in addition to be 15minutes late, were repeated as they couldn't here me answering. Breakfast was bland and basic. So apart from a great location, which by the way could not be enjoyed from the windows of the room, this hotel has very little to offer.

 "Very good hotel. Highly recommented."
The hotel was near the center of the city and near a bus-tram stop. The room was small as all in Amsterdam, but very comfortable. It was a great stay there an I recommented to anyone wants a proper and clean hotel.

"The smalles rooms I've ever seen"
The bathroom smelled like waste water. We complained twice, nothing happened. There are always people taking drugs in front of the hotel. With the thin walls, its always loud. The room was very small.

 "An Enjoyable Stay"
This was my first time travelling abroad, and i was impressed with the relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Apollo. The staff are friendly and helpful, my room was comfortable and well priced and there is plenty to see and do near the hotel. When i come back to Amsterdam i'll be staying there again.

"good hotel with good value for money"
this is a good hotel and has good value for money. the room was a bit small - but out of that, it really is a good place.I would go there again. When we were there the internet was a bit problematic, but I guess it will be fixed soon,

 "Overall quite ok"
Our room was tiny but clean and quiet. You could order breakfast the night before for a reasonable price of 10 euros. A coffee machine in the room would have made it just perfect.

 "Amsterdam Trip"
Small but well designed rooms which were clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a good location with easy access to canal tours and in walking distance of museums and bars and restaurants. Two public computers were for guest use and there was access to wi-fi in rooms. There was a safe in the room as well. The only downside to the hotel was that the ordinary rooms do not have the facilities of the superior rooms such as hairdrier and tea/coffee maker.

"Good location & service - average rooms"
We enjoyed the stay and would go back subject to price offer. We originally had a room in the basement and had to change. Breakfast a bit pricey - better just round the corner

 "Short Break"
We used this hotel for a short weekend city break. Check in was from 2pm, we arrived at 3pm and were told that our room would not be available for another hour. Although the rooms were clean, they were also tiny. The bed was very uncomfortable and badly needed a new matress. We did not use the dining facilities and therefore cannot comment on these. I can say however that the staff were very helpful and polite.
