The Best Western Apollo Museumhotel enjoys a central location in the city centre, close to the fashionable 'P.C. Hooftstraat' where you can do some exclusive shopping. Furthermore, the hotel is close to Museum Square where you can visit the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Also, the vibrant Leidseplein is nearby, where you can find many restaurants, bars and clubs. Round-trip boats, the Museum Boat, water bikes and the water taxi leave in front of the hotel.
How to reach the Best Western Apollo Museumhotel ?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
You can also take the Connexxion shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel.
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram line 2 or 5 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Hobbemastraat'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 3 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The room and reception were modern and freshly decorated, the location is ideal, just a few tramp stops away from all the main areas and easy to find from schipol airport by train and tram
The room was clean and fuctional, but very small, also - felt £120 per night was fairly expensive for room only, although all hotels seemed expensive so fine for what you get i suppose. there are no facilities for making tea of coffee in the room.Bacon

The hotel is in a good location.The rooms were dirty, with broken windows, urine and mold stains on the curtain between the bedroom and bathroom and when i brought that to the attention of the hotel staff i was told that for the price we paid, that is the only type of room we were going to receive. the rooms were in the old part of the hotel. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The location to museums and nightlife was excellentThere was maintenance work going on and no warnings were put up and all they could do was say sorry. signs explaining what was going on would have helped. also we had to pay city tax. a sign explaining about this would be good as it suprised many customers. the breakfast was very over priced and not great either.Fowler Claire

In general we liked everything about the hotel. it is very well located. the staff is friendly. food is good.The only thing i didn;t like is the check in and check out time. very inconvenient. you cannot have your room before 2p.m. and then you have to leave the hotel at 11 in the morning.Anonymous

Nice hotel. i really like the room, small but cozy. bed was very comfortable and bathroom was very chic! they give you dove body shampoo and dove hair shampoo!!! but sadly no dove conditioner :( t.v had many good channels and there was a safe box in the room. i recommend this place to anyone. Location was alright but a bit far from damrak square (20 mins walk). no coffee making facility in the room.Wood

Friendly staff, very clean rooms, ideally located for nightlife, and about 30 mins walk to dam square.Unfortunately building work was going on during our stay, so we were woken early by banging. also, they seem to have problems accepting certain credit cards. the room is much smaller than expected, but very clean with everything you need...be aware though, as you can see through the bathroom door!Abraham

The front desk staff was really nice and helpful. i also liked the free computer use in the lobby. the hotel was very modern and had an upbeat vibe.There was construction while we were staying that wasn't inconvenient, but took away from the physical attributes of the hotel.
