"Good service and good time!"
Really liked this hotel. The staff were all really helpful and if you had any issue did their best to resolve it. There was a few things though that did annoy me. Firstly we weren't told that we would have a deposit taken out on the room. Only €100 euros but it would have been nice to know. Secondly, the rooms were amazing but I personally felt the cleanliness for a four star hotel could have been better. This may just be because my job has me picking up on these things daily and I may have been being picky. Other than this, great!!

"Happy New Year"
This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Arena Hotel and I was even more impressed with the quality. The rooms are fantastic as is the decor of the rest of the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I'd say the only downside is the location (about 10 minutes tram ride to Leidseplein) however the tram stop is about 60 seconds walk and the trams are every 10 minutes so it's so easy to get into the centre! All in all it was a hugely enjoyable stay and I will definately be looking to stay here again!
We stayed for 3 nights and loved the Hotel the staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was perfect (free Prosecco helped our birthday celebrations). the rooms individual, minimal and clean, the bed was very comfortable. We will be staying next time we visit Amsterdam - thank you!

Stayed for 3 nights; the hotel staff was very pleasant and quite helpful. Overall our stay was excellent, clean and the rooms were uniquely designed. Although - the bathroom/toilet was visible to those sitting in the living room - not the most comfortable thing to have people watch you while you're on the toilet! The location of the hotel though isn't ideal for those visiting Amsterdam for the first few times. Not much around the hotel and it's quite a trek into town or a 15 euro cab ride (not bad, but not ideal if you're constantly heading into town). Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

"long weekend stay"
We had originally booked this hotel on line. The service was fantastic very friendly . The hotel es about 15 -20 Mins walk to centre or you could catch tram which was 5 min walk from hotel. The room was very modern and clean. Would recommend to stay at this hotel to anyone
We really really liked the Hotel Arena in Amsterdam. This Hotel just looks amazing and the Rooms are really really nice. The may can improve the cleaning and also the walls are kind of thin but I think that's normal for a Hotel. The breakfast was also really good. Parking was expensive but nothing special for Amsterdam. The Hotel is really good located. The city is not very far but at the same time it is in a quiet area.
My partner and i enjoyed our stay and found that the room was very quiet and ensured a good night's sleep. We also thought the bathroom and shower was very good too
The first appearance of the inside of the hotel is quite original, although very dark, and the outside is in construction, which at the moment does not give it a nice appearance. The room was OK - even though it was split level, which we were not told about beforehand (the sleeping part of the room is above the bathroom, which you get to from a wooden spiral staircase) - but there is almost zero space to put the clothes. The hotel didn't clean the room the next day, despite our request at reception when we didn't notice a 'Make this room' sign on our door, and despite their assurance that it would be cleaned. The TV is set up in a way that you can not even use any of the local channels, rendering it useless, unless you are willing to pay for the service. Basically there is absolutely nothing complimentary with the price you pay, other than the shampoos! We feel that for the price that we paid it was definitely not worth it, especially considering we didn't spend much time in the room. There is no way that this hotel can be classed as 4 stars.
Women at the reception asked my credit card during check-in. 200 euro was frozen. And then was check-out she said that money will be available in 24 hours. It is a blatant lie in the face. A weak has already past and where is no money. My Bank said me that it surelly will be returned in a month. The problem is because of the their acquiring bank. And she also told me nothing about taxes which will be added to final cost of the room.
Guests are greeted by a lovely and cosy outside bar just before they walk into the reception. I rarely go to 4* hotels, but even so the interior was beautiful, with a lovely and tasteful mix between grand/traditional-looking and modern (e.g. chandeliers and grand staircase but also black thick plastic reception counter). The rooms look exactly as they are shown. They have awesome en-suites with a wet room area and black translucent wall between itself and the bedroom. I stayed in a deluxe room and the bedroom area was smaller than I was expecting. It was nicely furnished with TV, fridge, desk with internet cable and keyboard, bedside tables and a very comfortable bed.The staff at Hotel Arena are really laidback (although they do things efficiently), helpful and welcoming. The two small drawbacks were:- The room got quite hot (in 30c August Amsterdam weather) and the window in my room wasn't big enough, because the room had slopes and beams;- I arrived to find a broken fridge, and during my three night stay it was never fixed.

"stay at Arena Hotel"
We had 2 rooms booked in the hotel (parents+kids) and everybody was pleased with room quality and service.I have 2 safety remarks to raise though:a- the hot water t° is too high and can cause severe skin burns when used in itself. 60°c should be hot enough to kill germs and save your electric consumption.b- the air dryer is too close from the shower and therefore can be used by someone who is bare feet and standing on the wet floor generated by close by shower) Each time we had to lay dry towel on the floor to feel safe. Some "processing american people" could get you sued about that.Nonwithstanding these facts, it is with great pleasure that I would again select your hotelif an opportunity to visit Amsterdam might come again.

"Would Love to stay again!"
Lots of positives from this place. Good location , clean and amazing value for money!only a few negatives; As a couple we were first given a twin room after requesting a double, however, as soon as we told reception they moved us completely free of charge. Finally the build of the room was amazing quality with the headboard nearly falling over every time you sat up and the telly losing quality with every movement in the room.Other than this it was a great stay and I would love to stay again!
bad location, far from the center, could be more cleaner.great bed.uncomfortable when we had to use bathroom

"mini bar"
On check out we paid cash for the mini bar and they were happy to take the money off us for what we had but the woman from behind the desk didn't put a note on the room to say it had been paid so guess what.... they charged me 7 days later on my credit card.I rang them up and they were very unhelpful, if i didn't have the reciept (which i didn't any more) it was basically tuff luck on us.Some body in that hotel had a bloody good drink on us!
Pros: Lovely decor, room was beautiful. although further out from the centre it was a nice walk.
Cons: Still awaiting a 400 euro deposit back which i did not realise they would debit from my account. having to chase them up is fairly annoying.
