Armada Canal Hotel has recently been renovated and is located on one of the most beautiful canals in the heart of the Amsterdam city centre near Rembrandt square. The excellent position regarding the Rembrandt square makes this a suitable starting point for your visit to the sparkling city of Amsterdam. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are easy to reach.

How to reach the Armada Canal Hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 15 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You take tram 4 and go out at 5th stop: "Keizersgracht".

It's exactly as you'd expect. basic but more than adequate. room was large enough and en-suite. cleaned daily. breakfast was cereal, cheese, ham, rolls, etc. buffet, and staffed, and the rolls were fresh. the 24 hour staff were friendly, spoke good english and provided honest advice. the location is also good, 15-20 minute walk from dam square and only 20 metres from a tram stop.It costs extra to pay by card, but there's a cash machine only a minute away. you don't get a front door key, but it's manned 24 hours so not a great inconvenience.Anonymous

Very small rooms, old and smelly blankets. however, the room was cleaned on a daily basis and the staff was generally very helpful, doinf their best for their customers. the location of the hotel is excellent.
