No dishwasher the person employed to do this was doing it while patrons were eating breakfast no gloves were worn so the water couldnt been very hot

The rooms were not quite of the standard expected from the website

The quality of the staff made it feel like fawlty towers!

The room was a disgrace compared to your website, the duck tape holding the blinds made the place look unkempt and shoddy, billing is designed to rip people off, there was a bed and breakfast down the road from you which had much better facilities and comfort to offer for €50.euro a night, the morning staff she was suffering from an attitude problem, perhaps because of the job she was doing, she was un happy and put me off my food, it got very cold, there were no spare covers or pillows, we could not move in the room as we had no space between the bathroom and the extra bed, delux i dont think so.there was no ventilation to let out shower steam,the bed was extreamly uncomfortable.

Very steep stairs and no lift - a big problem when room is on 4th floor.

The stairs are very steep as described in hotel description, and would have been nice to make or be able to take a hot drink to your room.

Shame the internet does not work on the 3rd or 2nd floor properly.

So-called 'double' bed was two singles pushed together. decor of room very much less pleasant than in

They claim the hotel is opposite the rijksmuseum, which, technically, it isn't. it is very close to the museum, you can see the museum's towers from your hotel window and it only takes a minute to walk there. when i arrived at amsterdam centraal, i took tram 5, as it stops infront of the musem. i walked around the museum twice, looking for a hotel which is opposite. i finally called them, and they told me to cross the canal next to the museum, one street and walk left c. 100 metres. this could be mentioned on their website. they even claim on their calling cards that they are situated opposite the museum. i know this sells well, but when it comes to directions on how to get there, it complicates things. the receptionist said many of their guests come from leidensquare - and so saying otherwise would confuse people. i do not see how - as people coming from that direction would not even spot the rijksmuseum till they are in their hotel room... it's a pity they promise "too much" - because their location is still excellent regardless of the fact that it is not directly opposite the musem.
