Close to everythingThe stairs were dangerous and the bed i slept in was dangerous when you sat near the edge it dipped up and flipped me out and i went into the wardrobe bruising my arm badly infact it was black and scraped.Niedermeyer

Wonderful manager/owner, works very hard and is proud of his hotel. good location, walking distnace to just about everything. rooms standard but very well kept and clean, serviced daily. shared bathroomw facilities were also good.Anonymous

Hotel is very cental. within walking distance to central station and main shopping areas.Room is very small and shared bathroom/shower very tiny. no lift in hotel and steps very steep - luggage a problem to get up stairs with no help from staff. expensive for what you get, but location of the hotel very useful.Anonymous

Manager was helpful (to a point), excellent locationVery drab and depressing room, more like a prison cell (save for the view of the gardens). shower was in what appeared to be a converted cupboard. needs a huge overhall. could not and would not recommend to anyone, unless they really, really only wanted a (small) bed to stay in and did not care about the room itself at all.Anonymous

Excellent staff, very friendly, yes the room was small, but thats amsterdam. i was very surprised how clean the shared toilet and shower was. the rooms have a sink in it so you only shared the toilet and shower. plenty of room for one person, since your mostly out on the town and very rarely in the room, just for sleeping and holding your luggage. Very steep stairs to get to room, so if your agile then its ok, but if you have more then 2 luggages, then is real tough. Anonymous

The manager of the hotel was lovely so helpful and i would stay here again. very clean he works so hard.The only thing i would recommend would be to have a mirror in the bedroom as well as the bathroomAnonymous

Located near anne frank house and prety central, but the street is not the most beautifull and the area is as caracteristic. the location in amsterdam is not really a problem because you can walk everywhere. the owner is really nice and gives a lot of tips fo see the city.The carpet on the floor and the walls were not clean, though you can tell that the staff was trying to make the best.. it's just that the place is really old, and using the vacun cleaner and changing sheets is not enought. i changed place after the first night because, though i was walking all day in the city, i wasn't feeling good coming back to that place, and didn't slept relaxed in that bed because it just didn't felt clean..you could also fell the smeel of smoke everywhereAnonymous

Friendly and helpful hotel owner. clean room.Was told on the morning of checkout that we had to leave at 10am but information from easytobook told us 11am. when we advised hotel owner of this he was absolutely fine and we checked out around 11am as planned.
