"Friendliest staff ive ever seen in a hotel, very laid back and extreemly..."
Pros: Friendliest staff ive ever seen in a hotel, very laid back and extreemly helpfull, you are well warned about the steep stairs which are actually easy to climb after a few shandy's :-)
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helful.
Cons: We got a twin room instead of a double room because we never stipulated that we wanted a double room, however, we didn't know that we needed to. i also did not know that we did not have our own shower and toilet.

"The backstage hotel is in an excellent location close to the local bars and..."
Pros: The backstage hotel is in an excellent location close to the local bars and restaurants and the museum district. the hotel is excellent value for money and the staff are polite and extremely helpful. the rooms are of a great standard, very modern and the music theme gives it great character. it is advertised as having steep stairs, this is not a lie but you do get used to them once you've been up and down a few times. i would definitely stay here again, i loved it!!
Cons: I can't really find anything negative to say apart from the steep stairs would be hard for people with walking difficulties because there is no lift, however for me it adds to the character of the hotel.

"Hotel was clean and tidy adn the musical theme gave it a unique character"
Pros: Hotel was clean and tidy adn the musical theme gave it a unique character. frequented by many bands on tour in amsterdam, so interesting people to chat to over breakfast.
Cons: The stairs are very steep so not a suitable location for the less able.
this should really be described as a hostel. it was clear owhen booking that the room did not have its own shower, however there was a communal one. this was very clean though.
