How to reach the Banks Mansion Hotel? How to reach the Banks Mansion Hotel?
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram nr 24 and 25 from the square in front of the station to the 'Keizersgracht/vijzelsgracht'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Genuine friendliness of and welcoming ambience generated by the hotel reception staff excellent choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and refreshments at the free bar which was kept clean,tidy and welcoming and with the extra treat of nuts etc. and delicious little nougats on occasion

The hotel is well appointed with good all inclusive prices. i would stay again without hesitation, apart from the situation described below.
On arrival at banks mansion, i was informed that they were fully booked and that there was no room for me!!!!! i showed them my confirmation from your company but they insisted that they were fully booked and that they had not received from your company my reservation in time. i pointed out to them that three weeks prior to my arrival i had sent a back-up email asking them to be sure i had a non-smoking room. this email was sent to their email address, copied and pasted and confirmed. it was delivered, otherwise i would have received a return email telling me that it was incorrectly addressed. they denied receiving this, frankly i do not believe them. they "remedied" the situation by arranging for taxis to take me to the hotel de l'europe for one night, then return me to banks mansion for the remaining two nights. the room at the europe was so small that i coujld not even open my suitcase on the floor! this experience, for which i never had a clear explanation, spoiled what could have been a first class stay. i would appreciate hearing from you about what further action your company will take with banks mansion. i am certainly wondereing that as mine was a sengle room reservation, they got a better offer for two persons, ans so decided to dump me.

An extremely pleasant hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the lounge bar/reception was delightul and the free bar and snacks an excellent touch. breakfast was very good and the situation was excellent, very attractive area, canalside, quiet at night.
Not a cheap option. the free alcohol was in fact rather limited and we were expected to pay for more wine in our room.

24 hour very friendly staff fantastic breakfast, with cook to order .... omelettes fab. daily newspapers from all countries free minibar and quality mini toiletries in room free bar, snacks, coffee etc in lounge/foyer and open fire, great for calling back to hotel mid-afternoon for a break and great also for pre-dinner drinks before night out free internet (2 computers) plus plug-ins everywhere great atmostphere in the hotel,because guests are happy
None would stay here again please don't recommend to everyone or there will be no free rooms when we visit amsterdam again!!!!

The hotel was exceptionally clean and sets an extremely relaxing environment as soon as you walk through their doors. the staff are extremely helpful and polite, ensuring that everything discussed and needed was dealt with to the best of their abilities, including their "tour-guide" knowledge. the rooms were clean, comfortable and equipped with everything that i needed for the duration of my stay. the wash facilities were the best i have experienced during any hotel stay. finally, the food and drink facilities were inclusive, however were to the highest standards and i would recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely stay there again with future visits to amsterdam.

Having seen the price of this hotel and compared it to other hotels on offer, i expected banks mansion to be too-good-to-be-true when i got there. happily, i was wrong and banks mansion turned out to be an excellent hotel and good value for money. the hotel was clean and modern. the all-inclusive offer was a definite plus. i will definitely return here when i am next in amsterdam.
