Nice room but not really what i would expect of a 5 star executive room. in a lovely area, very nice shops, cafes etc and very close to museums & the vondelpark. 15 mins walk to leidseplain It was a bit too far away from the centre of amsterdam for us.
expensive for what is was.
if you confirm the booking on a debit card then you have to pay in full by cash on arrival plus 50 euros a night to cover expenses. this meant we spent pretty much all our cash straight away and had to rely on cash machines the rest of the time.Lattka

Lathough the hotel is a little out from the centre, it gave us the opportunity to travel in and 'spy' some sights from the tram which we could return to later. the area the hotel is in is very quiet. just up the road from the hotel is a great little cafe for breakfast. the hotel itself is very very clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room service was excellent, very nice looking hotel with lovely roaring fire by the bar. breakfast superb, brilliant selection of food, enough for breakfast and lunch!Staff seemed rather unfriendly at times and almost condescending... don't know if this was just the staff or the way dutch people can be generally??!!
