Quiet street, good staff, nice sized room, fresh fruit in room :-)
Bath plug broken, spa bath air pressure blew control panel off when switched on! breakfast very expensive >£20 so would either ensure b&b rates or eat elsewhere (it was not even that good)

The hotel is in a beautiful part of amsterdam, easy to connect into centraal.
We booked an executive room based on the video shown on the bilderberg web site which showed the room to be spacious and luxurious. on arrival we were allocated an inferior room no bigger than a regular 3* hotel. when i complained the staff were surly telling me that not all executive rooms are the same size. this was false advertising. i was told the rooms only varied by a few centimetres. when eventually i was able to get shown another room, this was what was advertised so initially we were allocated the poorest room on the executive floor. room service menu consists of approx 6-8 items, the breakfast, boasting 7 courses was adequate but not worth €22 of anyone's money. our room service breakfast was forgotten twice in a 4 night stay. the room specification stated trouser press and cd player with cds, there were neither, when i asked reception to provide it took some 4 hours to get a cd player brought our room and that was under protest. put simply this is not a 5* experience. i stayed at the marriott a few months ago, 4* and this was a much better experience for a lot less money.

Very good staff.
Hotel rated as 5 star--did they rate themselves? not a 5 star hotel! service and staff rate highly, but room leaves a lot to be desired. as most european hotel rooms are small, so was this one! bedding was not in the best condition and room was worn looking. we stayed in what was called a deluxe room (next level was a executive room) and would have been a 2 star room in almost any us hotel. at approximately $300.00 per night i would like to expect more! gda

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel ans would go again, it is smal enough for the services to be personal and friendly, but all the luxsury of a very good executive hotel, you can walk into the centre of the city in about 20min or get the tram 5 mins away. the resturant in the hotel is pricey but we have had 2 of the best meals mu husdand and i have ever had, so if you have a special occasion splash out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Upon checking in we were told that our room had twin beds and not a double bed and that there were no rooms available with doubles. we were told that was the offer we booked and that we should have specified that we wanted a double room, although disappointed it wasn't a big problem for us but it would be better if we were reminded to make this request when booking.

Nice room but not really what i would expect of a 5 star executive room. in a lovely area, very nice shops, cafes etc and very close to museums & the vondelpark. 15 mins walk to leidseplain
It was a bit too far away from the centre of amsterdam for us. expensive for what is was. if you confirm the booking on a debit card then you have to pay in full by cash on arrival plus 50 euros a night to cover expenses. this meant we spent pretty much all our cash straight away and had to rely on cash machines the rest of the time.
