"A very good hotel and not so far from the centre"
The hotel I can recommend if a 20 minute ride on a tram or bus to the city centre is not a problem for you. If you plan to return to the hotel several times during the day, a hotel nearer the centre is maybe a better option. The hotel is clean and quiet, lies in the area where a lot of Turkish people live - there is a Turkish market near. An ALDI supermarket is on the way to the tram stop, so you can buy food for breakfast and supper if you don't choose to take advantage of the breakfast service at the hotel. There were cups in our room, a kettle to boil the water, supply of tea and coffee. Should you eat at the hotel, take sth to eat on as plates are not provided. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathroom was quite big and all worked fine. Towels are changed every day, as well as bed linen and sheets. We couldn't connect to the Wifi on our mobiles the first day, but no problems on the laptop. Later on we could connect on the mobile as well. If you don't have laptop with you, you can use the computers next to the reception desk. There are trams number 7 and 14 which go to the centre and bus number 21 which goes to the Central Rail Station which is in the centre as well. Anyway you can get a sheet with all neccessary information at the reception desk as well as the map of the centre. I am not so sure about transport to the hotel if you plan to return to the hotel very late - the last normal trams leave the centre in the direction of the hotel at around half past midnight. You should ring the hotel and ask about night busses. It is a little difficult to orientate yourself in the city the first two days, maybe because of a lot of canals. The maps provided by hotels are quite good after you found your bearings but during the first days it is not detailed enough. It could be a good investment to buy a good map with routes of trams, busses and metro.
