The hotel is positioned at the south-west corner of the city of Amsterdam. It is peacefully located in a quiet area and connected with the 'Vondelpark' in Amsterdam.
The hotel is walking distance from the lively 'Leidseplein' with its many bars, restaurants and clubs and 'Museumplein' with the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum.
The WTC and the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre can be easily reached by public transport. There is also a very good connection with Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and to the Amsterdam Ringway A10.
How to reach the Borgmann Villa Hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to central station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to Amsterdam Central Station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
You can also take the airport transfer shuttle bus by KLM which stops at AMS Hofpark Hotel & Residence, located 100 meters from the hotel.
A taxi from Schiphol Airport to the hotel costs about EUR 30.00.
2) From Central Station: You can take tram nr 2 from the square in front of the station to 'Koninginneweg/Emmastraat'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 4 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.
A taxi from Amsterdam Central Station to the hotel costs about EUR 20.00.
By car: From the Amsterdam Ringway, A10 Ring West, go to direction 'Zaanstad' and take exit S106 Osdorp and continue in direction 'Centrum'. On the 2nd bridge turn to the right, at the 2nd semaphore turn left (tram nr. 2) and at the next semaphore turn left again. Before the Vondelpark entrance take a right to Koningslaan 48 and on the left side you can find the hotel.

The room was clean quiet and in a very pleasant safe area easy to get to by public transport and the reception staff were helpful and spoke good english
There are no tea and coffeee facilities in the room which one would expect for that price.. the receptionist did give me a free thermos of hot water and a cup thoughHuddart

Very nice location and friendly staff, although the reception closes quite early in the evening.We booked a quadruple room but got only a double room with two extra beds, thereof one only a very thin mattress on an old and squeaky camp bed. as we were 4 adults we had to take shifts at sleeping in the two good beds - which actually were very good! our lesson: don't book a room for 4 people withouth making sure it has 4 beds in it! Very welcoming staff. fabulous view out to the vondel park from my particular room, though not all have this view. located in the grandure of the old south with lots of nice restaurants and shops in the area, and easy access to trams thatll take you to the centre in a matter of minutes. the area is very relaxing and ensured a restful night.The hotel looks dated, but if you can put up with this then you will enjoy your stay.Lindsey

Lovely, airy hotel with huge windows in our room overlooking the park. quiet, clean and very good value for money for our bedroom for four people. one of the few hotels in amsterdam that accepted a one night booking on a saturday. staff were friendly and helped me find a charger for my phone. it was a short walk through the park to the centre of amsterdam where i smugly saw all the grotty looking hostels crammed with backpackers! Good overall impression, welcoming and friendly staff. we knew the location and realised that it was a little removed from the "centre" which was perfect for us - a walk through the park or no. 2 tram into the city centre.Location is great, quiet and residential but might be a little too quiet for some !
