Boutique Hotel & Brasserie Patou is only a few steps away from fashion designer shops, the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and many excellent bars, restaurants and clubs. The hotel is situated in the museum quarter of Amsterdam in the fanciest shopping street of Holland, close to the three main Museums. The Vondelpark is just on the end of the street. The Leidsplein and the Casino are just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Great location, great little coffee shop below
Room was a little dirty with hairs on the floor and around the sink. we had a front room on the shopping street so the room was quite noisy at night.Anonymous

A nice place to stayIt took almost an hour before breakfast arrived in the the brasserie and the bread was old. furthermore the door was coanstantly open while there was heavy rain and it was cold inside.Anonymous

So good that i will be using it again and as a journalist and author have already told a few friends and will tell others.As a brit i don't walk around with my passport. having booked i thought that as enough. ok my wife- a dutch citizen- had an id. but as a press man anybody in an hotel should know that my card is police registered. a) the continental breakfast can be enriched with three types of cheese for example plus some olives and types of other bacons & salami and so on or it can be open buffet,
b) some drawers can be added to the room furniture,
c) besides the shampoo, body lotion & shower gel, there can be other spa type cosmetics added like some type with alga or sand and so on,

I very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel patou. it was very conveniently located, easy to get to from the main station on the tram (#5) and close to museums, canal cruise boats, a major restaurant-tourist area, etc. the hotel itself was very modern and interesting in terms of how the room was set up. the staff was friendly, helpful and, of course as is generally true in the netherlands, they spoke excellent english. A small point: the door to my room was slightly broken and rubbed on the floor as it was closed. that made the door slam a little when it was closed. more of a problem for my neighbors than it was for me. harris
