Room was small and basic but clean. helpful and friendly staff. great location.
Filthy toilet and shower which was cleaned once in the three days we were there. take flip flops for the shower!Anonymous

Really good location in front of the singel.
5mn walking to the centraal station, red light district, de dam, and to take a tramwayReally bad hotel, the staff is totaly ridiculous.
a lot of little bitch in all the room....grrrrrrrr
i haved booked the hotel to have a room in front of the canal, at the end...it was a big grey wall....:(
no shower and w.c in the room.
be careful because what you see in the hotel description and what is the hotel in real is totaly diferent.
im a big road treaper and i haved lived in amsterdam during 10years....so i understand the dutch and amsterdam life stye.....if im disapointed about this hotel, it's not for nothing....i let you imagineAnonymous

It was a great value for the money, room was small but our view was excellent. breakfast was basic, but fried eggs to order, can't complain. shared facilities were small, but definitely manageable for the price. everything was clean.Anonymous

Mike, who looked after breakfast, was friendly and helpful.croissants, toast and spreads were available.they gave us a useful map of the city.We were put in the annex hotel and did not stay at the hotel brian itself. it was a short walk away. despite our booking request, the room had 4 beds and an extra matress stowed away in it.breakfast room was cramped though adequate, but on the one morning mike was off duty there was no coffee. The staff is friendly and helpfull.More a hostel. the place is completely worn down i saw mice in the hallway. also don't expect anything from the breakfast. all in all i would call this more a backpacker hideout than a hotel.Anonymous

location is great, easy to find and close to practically everything. good value for what you get, nice and simple we didn't spend much time in the room anyway as theres too much to do!oneill

Very basic but clean and friendly. if you just want a bed for the night it is a great value choice. interesting and helpful staff.Usual steep dutch stairs, bit tricky after a night out! no towel in the room, not even a hand towel.hunt

I thought the staff were fantastic, very chilled out people. very helpful and informative. the view from the room was much better then expected, bed was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very yummy.Be aware if you are to stay here, the stairs are more like a ladder so it can be hard to carry your luggage up and down the stairs and the rooms are very small. also sharing a toilet and shower is not ideal.GRILLON
