Unique and beautiful two bedroom houseboat apartment, that can accommodate six guests, located on the Amstel river.

This apartment is situated in the Amstel, the main river of Amsterdam and where the city takes its name. The Damming of the river several hundred years ago created ‘Amstel Dam’ the city we know and love today.

This spacious apartment is housed inside a recently renovated former freighter. The living area is bright and modern, complete with high beamed ceilings, wooden floors and bright splashes of colours throughout. Natural light floods the space and creates a warm feeling, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The space is furnished with a double sofa-bed, armchairs, the latest in audio visual equipment and a dining table with seating for six. The kitchen is spacious, modern and fully equipped with everything you would expect of a contemporary apartment, including an oven, hob, a microwave, a grill, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster and a coffee machine.

The apartment features two bedrooms each of which are furnished with double beds.

The Damming of the river several hundred years ago created ‘Amstel Dam’ the city we know and love today. The boat is moored just a short distance from the famous skinny bridge, a great location just a short distance from the centre of the city. The Amstel itself is a beautiful river filed with amazing architecture, beautiful bridges, the Hermitage Museum, Carré Theatre, restaurants, bars and cafes. De Ijsbreker and Café Hesp are great places to stop on the Amstel for a drink and some food. Just a few minutes from the apartment is Waterloo Square with its famous market, Rembrandt Square home to wide array of bars, restaurants and clubs, Utrechtsestraat home to charming shops, bars and restaurants and the Central Canal Belt filled with its elegant canal houses. Museum Van Loon and Museum Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis are both great examples of preserved Dutch Golden Age Canal Houses, while Rembrandt House is where the great Dutch artist lived and worked for much of his life. This apartment is in a great location with plenty to see and do right outside your front door. Public transport serves the area well making possible to get anywhere in the city with ease.
