The room was basic but we were just looking for a central base.Beds were comfortable enough.Only thing lacking was a kettle - having to boil water on the hob in the morning was slightly tedious! I need my coffee in the morning!I would definitely use it again for a group of friends going out to party.

"The 2 room apartment is just perfect for the 6 of us(2 adults, 2 youth and..."
Pros: The 2 room apartment is just perfect for the 6 of us(2 adults, 2 youth and 2 kids)the apartment is only a few doors from the actual hotel and coveniently located(rembrant) very near to restaurants, shops, entertainment. the only setback is the shower which can do better with higher pressure. about 8 minutes by tramp and 20 minutes walk from the central station. rooms in the apartment are all very clean, airy and bright. we also managed to prepare our breakfast of ham, bacon, eggs, bread and salad with the attached kitchen. my kids even voted this as the best of the hotels that we stayed over our trip to europe. opposite the apartment is an upmarket supermarket but i would not recommend it as its stocks are not to my liking and very expensive(can't find local beers there!!!!). would recommend to do your grocery at another very stock supermarket about 12 minutes walk (located behind a church). prices at this supermarket is very reasonable and you can get lots of stuff there. there are 2 tv but no wifi at apartment but guest can use the computer and assess to wifi at nearby hotel for free 24 hrs. the staffs at hotel are most friendly, helpful and ensure that all its guest are comfortable during their stay there. would like to specially thank the owners (dolch and daphne) who are the most friendly people that we have met during our trip, mr dolch is especially helpful, kind towards my family and very passionate in his work. he makes us very comfortable and accomodate our request to leave our luggages at the lobby till late in the evening(night train to zurich). we highly recommend this hotel/apartment to all and will definately stay in the same apartment if we ever revisit amsterdam.

"Apartment was clean"
Pros: Apartment was clean
Cons: Although clean the adveretised tea and coffee making facilities consisted only of a kettle, with no way of making any drink as we arrived late.
the hotel location was not suitable for families and we were strongly advised by the reception staff to ensure that the street door to the apartment was securely locked for our own safety.
when we arrived at 9-30 pm we had to wait to be let into the reception area, (next to the entrance for an 'adult club' and then after checking in were escourted to the entrance to the apartment again back to the street and past a couple of adult clubs.
whilst we were aware that we has booked an apartment i am nor certain that it was clear that this was not within the hotel building.
