Amsterdam Arena

Over four years in construction at a cost of over 202 million Dutch Guilders the Amsterdam Arena is more then just a football stadium; it is a tourist destination in itself! Featuring a roof that can open fully in 20 minutes, seating for over 51,000 fans and 1700 VIP's and over 2,000 lux of lighting the arena is a wonderful focus for any sports fan. There are actually four different types of tours available including the "World of Ajax" tour, which lasts about an hour and a half; the "Walk-In Tour" which has one hour of guided tour then access to the museum; The "World of Ajax Kids" tour, primarily focused for schoolchildren and lasting about two hours; and special "Birthday" tours for those fans who deserve something special on their day. All tours provide an in-depth tour of the stadium and visit areas normally off limits. Tours end in the Ajax Museum which features cups, video clips, audio, strips, photographs and medals from the past 100 years of the legendary football club's history. You can also book snacks, lunches, and drinks to be served should you wish. Tours include a short film titled 'Under construction' detailing the history of construction of this wonderful stadium, in addition to other video with highlights of several key players.
