The De la Mar Theater re-opened in his new location, near Leidsplein, November 16, 2010. The new De la Mar Theater has two theaters with a combined 1500 seats, the complex has also cafés and restaurants.
The De la Mar Theater was founded, originally, in the 1947 and named after Dutch actress and comedian Fien de la Mar. It had to close its doors in the 2005 and now has been moved to a completely new building. The programming of the De la Mar Theater is in line with the programming of the old theater and will include drama, cabaret, musicals, theater, family entertainment and a variety of international productions.
