 "First time in Amsterdam"
I was very impressed with the hotel Cordial. Having never been to Amsterdam before I wasn't sure what to expect but this hot is very central. The rooms are not amazing (you wouldn't expect it for the price) but they were clean comfortable and I had a very good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay there again!

 "Sweeet and easy stay"
I stayed here for the first two weeks that i moved to Amsterdam. Location was perfect, pretty much right next to dam square and walking distance from anything and everything. The staff are not so nice at first but if you make and effort with them they love you haha. Breakfast doesn't seem to appetising at first but seeing as i was there for 2 weeks i made up some great concoctions, just use your mind. the rooms are cleaned every day and the beds are comfy. i would definitely recommend for mates wanting to party etc. bit boring if you are solo though. wifi connection also good, but only in the lobby, booo

"GOOD LOCATION, GREAT SLEEP, SHAME MY JACKET GOT NICKED!"
Made reservation for double room for 3 nights but was given a triple room (3 single beds) on our first night then got our double room on 2nd and 3rd nights. Left a jacket in the first room and when i tried to ask for it was told it wasnt found! Comfy bed though.

 "Holidays."
The hotel was very central to all amenities, and only 15 minutes walk from Central station .There was noise from the tram running during the day , and traffic was busy most of the time but there was lights for crossing tne road so itwas ok.

 "Couldn´t sleep at all"
The location of the hotel is great.Close to everything. But rooms were so warm and no aircon. Small rooms. Very smal bathrooms with strange showers where it is located between the toiletsit and sink! It was impossible to sleep because of the noise from outside. If u want to get at least couple hours of sleeping after parting so donn´t stay here. Staff very friendly and nice. The breakfast was very very simple.

"Good place but the hotel was a little bit dirty"
Hotel little bit expensive , only the place is an advantage but the hotel is dirty as wellI spend all the weekend with my wife and my friends and for all of us we think that the price for the weekend was little bit expensive , the only positive thing is the place, very closed to Dam square

 "Basic hotel on good location"
Basic hotel for a reasonable price for amsterdam. Good location. Good breakfast. Nice crew. Seems a little like a budget hotel. Rooms could be updated amongst other things.

 "No sleep"
Hotel centrally located and perfect for walking anywhere. Ten minute walk from centraal station. Most lights didn't work in the room. Noise from traffic and party animals meant no sleep. For this reason i wouldnt use this hotel again unless I was guaranteed a quiet room. Returned from trip exhausted. These were the only issues I had.

 "Amsterdam!"
Noisy roadworks outside starting early. Trouble with noisy pipes for heater inside room during the night- not resolved for 2 nights. Very steep small steps on badly lit stairway. But price and location good.

 "Hotel Review"
Hotel had a great location very central and could go by walk practically everywhere around Amsterdam. Road just behind hotel had lots of shops which is great. The rooms are quite small, but we only came in the evening to sleep. There is also a really strong smell of pot, which is either good or bad, depending how you look at it. Would probably stay there again because of the central location.

 "Try something else"
probably the smallest bathroom I've ever seen... fan exhaust has never been cleaned and everything else is worn out... location is good thought but you should be able to get something better for a similar price

 "Dirty weekend"
The only dirt in my weekend was in the hotel .. Rooms are tiny tiny .. No smoke alarms so ok to smoke in rooms even though it's no smoking .. Staff are ok .. Location is great .. If you are in Amsterdam for partying it's great as I only used the room to get 3 hours sleep and have a shower .. Didn't go for breakfast as I could eat in a dirty hotel

 "Stay at Rokin"
The location of the hotel is good.On arrival, the receptionist was available, but very arrogant. Very limited communication and not useful. In the evening, a different receptionist was present, he was very helpful, very good communication, makes suggestions. Appreciate this person for his help and support

 "Stay away"
Best thing about this hotel is the central location. But that is also the worst partExtremely noisy room. 24 hours a day. Had to use earplugs. Rude unhelpful staff. Terrible breakfast. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Moved to hotel Asterisk. Near the museums. Very nice on a quiet tree lined strat

"Not so Cordial - Fawlty Towers in Amsterdam!"
This was the worst value for money I've ever seen in a hotel. The fact that it is called the Cordial has caused us endless amusement since our return ... because the staff are in fact NOT cordial...!! At over €100 per night, we wish we'd checked out as soon as we had seen the room. Our room was small, which we expected, but it was also boiling hot and there is a long term build up of grime in the corners of the bathroom. The bathroom bin appeared to be covered with dried vomit and in fact it wasn't a bathroom but a 'wet room', which was not clear when we had booked. Worst of all, there were stains on the pillow case on my bed. When I asked for it to be changed the receptionist thought that it wasn't so dirty ... I had to insist and at the same time I asked for a clean pillow as the pillow appeared to have urine stains on it. The beds themselves were uncomfortable and both of us were on painkillers every morning for back ache! The 'service' at reception was at times rude. When I asked for somewhere to change on the day we arrived, the receptionist said that a could change in the window (a reference to the city's famous window prostitutes) and then looked me up and down and said maybe I wasn't good looking enough for it. The second receptionist we encountered later that day was argumentative. The only vaguely polite receptionist was the gentleman from Aruba that we chatted with on the last morning. On the plus side, the housekeeping staff were very friendly and polite. Maybe they should swap jobs with the receptionists then guests might get a sincere smile at reception, and clean linens on the bed.....

 "One night....."
This hotel is well placed in Amsterdam; it has good transport links and easy walking distance from the city centre. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the breakfast is well above what one expects with the label "continental".The exterior was being painted during our stay so there was a bit of unusual activity/disturbance to routine which the staff apologised for.My family and I [five adults + 1 2 year old] will most definately be returning the next time we are in Amsterdam. Some fittings and furniture were a little tired, but the hotel was clean and well run. I'm sure these points will be picked up on very soon.Very happy.
