The hotel is located in the historic heart of Amsterdam, near Amsterdam Central Station and Dam Square. Shopping streets, canals, museums and lots of entertainment are in the immediate vicinity. A network of public transportation is available almost on the doorstep of the hotel and the nearby canal boats provide a unique perspective of the city. Also renting a bike for the day can be a hair raising but fun way to travel around the city centre.

1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM. (Go to step 2)

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel in approximately 1 minute. Exit the central station from the main exit on the city side (follow the taxi sign). Turn right when you exit and follow the path to leave the station grounds. At the crossing light cross the street and walk straight into the street in front of you. This is " Martelaarsgracht" (on the corner there is a little bar) and just a little down the street you will find the hotel on your left.

We were very disapointed that the facilities advertised were unavailable due to refurbishment and no attempt had bee made to offer alternative arrangements. for example on he hotel tv site it sad that other arrangements had been made for swimming pool users, yet when we asked at reception the only thing on offer was the public baths some 30 mins away!!!!the bar was closed but we were unable to use the roof top bar and were offered a seat on the edge of the restaurant!!!

It's worth getting a club class room, the standard rooms are over priced and generally have no view and very little outside light

Loved it - perfect location and i'm sure it will be lovely when finished.
Just one never knew the hotel was under construction at time of booking.... so mornings were a little noisey!

Nice location and room was very nice
I did not like having to pay in advance. the pool and sauna were out of order, i discovered this after i booked the hotel and would have not booked the hotel, if i had known this. i feel that the room was overpriced as adverised (four star) without a pool and sauna. there was not more than one restaraunt choice in the hotel, which does not comply with my understanding of a "four star" facility.

I booked the hotel for the price indictated on your web site and the hotel charged me approximately $600 more than i had agreed to pay. i was told that my / your price was a mistake because those prices were for when the renovation was taking place. renovation on the room they put me in was complete however the rest of the hotel was still being worked on. i was also told at this time that my "adjusted price" would include our continental breakfast and internet. that also turned out to be "misspoken" as the manger put it and we were charged $75/us for a continental breakfast...which for my wife and i was a piece of toast and cup of coffee. i am in the process of disputing this charge with my credit card company...i have all documents in hand...which their manager didnt care about. this hotel and its staff ruined our stay in amsterdam!

The hotel was clean and looked lovely, staff where very polite and very efficient.
The room for a club class room was poor, it was small with liitle room to move around, if any one was working at the desk then the other person would have to crawl over the bed to get to the tv etc.
