The Di Ann Hotel is located in historic surroundings between the Royal Palace and Dam Square. The hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam with many attractions nearby such as the Anne Frank Museum.
The hotel is situated in historical centre of Amsterdam, next to the Royal Palace, the Westerchurch and the Jordaan district with its picturesque market, shops, restaurants, art galleries. Museums, shopping areas, the flower market (around the corner) and the famous canals are within walking distance from the hotel. A few steps from the propery you can find an arcade with traditional Amsterdam shops and restaurants.
How to reach the Di Ann Hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram:1, 2, 5 ,13 and 17 from the square in front of the station to the dam/raadhuisstraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 3 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

My daughter has a bad back and needs a hard bed. the staff were very obliging and we managed to sort something out for her. also my daughter dropped her ring on the balcony it fell into the gutter which was not accessable. however, the staff were extremely helpful and managed to retrieve the ring.Rooms very small and lots of stairs.Morrison

Great location, friendly and helpful staffInternet did not work. smoking in the hotel, despite the room being a non smoking room, it was obvious that smokers has used the room, and there were loads of cigarette ends scattered around the baclony, narrow range of foods for breakfast.Anonymous

They were very helpful in telling us how to find things and book tours for us. it was also nice that when we arrived there at 8:00 a.m. to store our luggage they had our room ready for us already and let us check in early with no extra cost.I found after staying in the rokin one night at the end of our vacation that the price of diann hotel was quite steep. the rokin was nicer, and had a much better selection for breakfast.Michael Anderson

The hotel rooom was loverly, we even had a little cat from the hotel come and stay with us on the first night. really nice place to have breakfast it is mainly toast cheese yogurts and cereal but there is a nice balchony to sit on in the hotter weather. There are very steep stairs upto reception and then again up to the rooms which they offer no help with.Howard

The position of the hotel was fine as several places of interest which we wanted to visit were easily accessible - e.g. anne franke's house, dam square, restaurants, the canal bus service etc.We were very disappointed with the room we were given. i had booked a family room but it was only a small double with four small single beds crammed into it. there was no room to move about at all. two of the beds had very wobbley legs which was most uncomfortable.
the breakfast was also poor with very little selection. the cheese slices were stale with 'turned up corners'
the price we paid was £130 - and for this amount of money (according to your site) there were far superior hotels available. we had taken our grand-daughters for a short half-term break and found the hotel experience very disappointing. when i told the reception of our dissatisfaction she said she had asked if we were happy with the room - but she had not done this or i would certainly have expressed our concerns.
i would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.Anonymous

the staff were polite and helpfull. the location was good for ease of getting to town and dam square for new year. we thought it was overpriced considering the size of the room and our room was not cleaned for the four days we stayed.Anonymous
