The location is unbeatable, it is a short walk to dam square, coffeeshops, red light, shopping etcStaff were not very helpful, we were unaware of extra deposit payable and country taxes, rooms were not 4star hotel quality, iv stayed in better 2 star hotels in amsterdam, the beds were not very comfortable and the toilets were tiny!Anonymous

The hotel is close to the hub of amsterdam. the house keeping was very good. the staff was quick to help.It is an old building and by nature the room tended to be cold, however i did not mind and knew what i was booking when i got the hotel.Willey

Hotel position was central and met our requirements. hotel staff were pleasant and efficient.The room, no 124, was stuffy. this was primarily due to the fact that the one and only window was sealed with secondary glazing and offered no means of allowing fresh air into the room. the reason for this, one must assume, was because the room was at the front of the hotel, and without the additional glazing would have suffered from unacceptable traffic noise. personally, give me the fresh air anytime. and, what about the fire/escape issuesmercer

There was a mouse or a rat in our room which we complained about and were just told sorry about that which i thought was a disgrace.any food we left out was destroyed and found it hard to sleep with the noise of it every night.Anonymous
