"Excellent hotel for Amsterdam"

Our stay in the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam, for business and leisure, was excellent in every respect but location (ameliorated by excellent shuttle bus service) and garden (which seemed to be dying!).

"Great stay!"

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and had an excellent experience! Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very nice with many choices. And the staff was very helpful and friendly. We also appreciated the shuttle running back and forth to the airport!

"Holiday"

Great hotel, but the extras are way too expensive like breakfast, parking, room service etc! Rooms and beds are very nice, shuttle service also nice, just not nice to be charged so much for all the extras.

"Lovely hotel but read the small print!"

I had a great stay, the room was lovely and staff were helpful but we had to put a 50 euro deposit down and there was also a 6% tax for 'staying in the city'! Just a little unexpected as it was my first time but did not mar my stay.

"Fantastic hotel"

We were very pleased with our stay in this hotel, nice and clean, friendly staff, close to the airport and so nice to sleep in a comfortable bed after a day walking round Amsterdam. We will definitely be returning again.

"Fantastic Hotel"

Really good hotel, great rooms and lovely staff. had a good stay, and planning to again. bit far from the city centre but theres a free bus to the airport and the train station, and it takes like 45 mins max to get to dam which is great. Hotel has an awesome pool too. Definitely planning another trip :) Matt - New Years 2012

"Good Value"

The hotel is great, good service, comfort rooms. easy to go to the center with the shuttle and train. Had no chance to try the restaurants, bars and all the structure, but during the 4 nights I had a quiet and comfortable sleep in a great bed, great shower and TV with everything.Would stay there again, even if my meeting were in the center.

"Dr. L Vandervelden's stay at Dorint"

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are clean and well kept. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and helpful. It is close to the airport with good shuttle service. Would be better if it ran until 0200 hrs instead of 0000. The dining room is great. The breakfast buffet has good selection. The front desk staff are absolutely rude. They have really been about the worst bunch that I've ever encountered in my 30 years + of business travel. They have the most disgusting attitudes. The bar staff was nice. The dining room staff was nice. All of the housekeeping staff are nice. All of the shuttle bus drivers are pleasant with the exception of one. I rode the shuttle twice daily for7 days. The information tour desk staff was nice. I would stay at this hotel again. The only issue I have is with ALL the front desk staff.

"good airport hotel"

we needed to be near the airport for an early morning flight, despite it being so close to the airport it was quiet and within walking distance to the forest with great walks and petting farm/ play area for children. Also having a pool and gym meant there was plenty to do.The airport bus was very useful.although it only runs every half hour.On the negative side we asked for a cot when I booked and also when I checked in but did not get one so my 8 month granddaughter had to sleep with her Mum. Also the main resturant was expensive , the food in the sports bar was basic but ok.

"Great stay prior to flying to ther states after a month's vacation."

The hotel was everything you could have wanted. The driver taking us to and from the airport even put our luggage on the cart and wheeled it into the hotel. Everyone was more than helpful and kind and the rooms were great. All hotels should take notice....This was a great stay before flying out in the morning.

"A great place to stay while visting the Amsterdam area"

The Dorint was our choice because we wanted a nice place to stay that was near Schiphol airport. The room was large and had all the conveniences include fridge, coffee maker, storage safe, and ironing board. The Dorint offers a free bus shuttle back and forth to the airport train station that runs every 30 minutes. It was convenienct to take the trains from Schiphol into Amsterdam, Haarlem and Utrecht. We could buy food supplies at the airport or could grab a meal and beer at the cafe onsite. We also liked taking a swim in the indoor pool at their health club facility.

"Our stay at the Dorint Hotel"

We had a really excellent stay at this hotel. The facilities were first class. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good there was a wide selection all of a high standard.We were travelled with a disabled member of our family, the room provided was good, coupled with the ability to park under the hotel with lifts from the car park to the hotel reception and to the rooms.I would recommend this hotel

"below my expectations"

I requested two simple things.1-a room with strong wireless signal. 2-one double bed instead of two single beds. none of them has been accomplished. While sitting in lobby, waiters keep bothering you to take something to drink or eat. It is really disturbing.

Pros: An upscale feel to the spacious rooms and comfortable beds; helpful staff with regular motor coach shuttles to the airport which is where the train to the city center is.
Cons: The short walk to the park nearby can be interesting with all the scooters and bikes using the sidewalk. we felt like we were intruding in their space.

Excellent hotel for Amsterdam
