This apartment is situated on the Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam’s main canals, and just a stone’s throw away from Rembrandtplein, with its buzzing nightlife, and Waterlooplein, with its famous flea market.
The living area, with its wonderful open beams, white washed walls and wooden flooring, is simple yet elegant. There is a large comfortable sofa to relax on, and a flat screen television (with cable). The stylish, open kitchen has everything you need to surprise your guests with a delicious meal. It is well equipped, including a hob, oven, microwave, fridge and even a dish washer. The contemporary bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin. Amenities include a Wifi Internet connection, a washing machine, dryer, and central heating.
This apartment has two great bedrooms with double beds. Nestled beneath the rafters, sweet dreams are guaranteed. This canal together with the Prinsengracht and the Herengracht are the three jewels of the historic Canal Belt. In the 17th century these canals were built and the big houses were only for the very rich merchants who earned the money with the spice trade in Indonesia. Amsterdam is known all over the world for its coffee shops. In this city you can smoke a joint without the police bothering you. It is so relaxed to be stoned and to walk without fear of being caught on the Wallen or the Red Light District. The cozy narrow streets with many bars and with Chinese take away shops where you can eat delicious roasted Peking duck determine the electrifying atmosphere of this area. But also the ladies of the night who show their bodies behind large windows are the attraction of this district. They will smile at you and even sometimes tease you. But when the red light is burning and the curtains are closed you have to respect their privacy. A great way to explore the city is to hire a bicycle from one of the many reasonably priced hire shops in the city centre. Amsterdam takes on a whole new perspective when viewed from the comfort of two wheels and you get to see the city at a faster pace! Or if you want a slower pace then take a boat tour on the canals and admire the beautiful bridges and the monumental canal houses.
