In the off-peak season, this hotel is ideally located near to the Red Light District (good Coffeeshops are just around the corner) and 5 minutes walk from Centraal Station which is the arrival station for the trains from the Schiphol airport. The rooms are tiny but clean, with TV, safe and small wardrobe. As everywhere in Amsterdam, the stairs are really steep. The hotel has its own café/bar, serving breakfast for approx. 7-10 Euros.However, I assume that the location may become very noisy during the peak season due to tourists in the street in front of the hotel as well as those in the hotel as the walls are pretty thin. The staff is very helpful.

Pros: Excellent position to be in the heart of everything and the staff are brilliant very helpful
Cons: Toilet smelt of cats wee needed to keep the door shut to stop the smell spreading through the room

Pros: The hotel staff was excellent, very friendly and ready to help with anything, breakfast was good value form money
Cons: Levels of noise, but we did understand that when you are right in the centre of any big city the noise if part of it.

Pros: The staff were lovely and the room was generally clean except for the old matresses.
Cons: While the sheets on our beds were clean the matress underneath was stained quite badly which was a bit off putting. also, if you are going as a couple make sure the room has a double bed instead of two singles!! two singles were pushed together in our room and we kept falling down the hole!

Cons: The tv had been broken by a customer just before we arrived. the staff member didnt give two hoots when we asked about it being replaced and no discount was offered either. i thought the customer was always right but it didnt seem that they were even bothered about replacing it. no offer of we will sort that asap was given.....

Pros: The hotel was really good value for money and the room was nicer than we expected it to be. smoker friendly too which was good.
Cons: There was a mix up with the rooms and our key-cards stopped working but this was sorted out by a very helpful member of staff. due to the same mix up we were told that we had not paid our key deposit, which we had. the staff gave us the benefit of the doubt however, and we got the deposit back. no real issues at all.

Pros: Couldn't have asked for a better location. reception manned 24/7
Cons: The stairs are like ladders, so steep its scary. you have to actually go up and down sideways

Pros: Good central location to everything in amsterdam and only a few minutes walk from central station which is very handy. was basic but clean and the staff where very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room did not look like it did in the pictures. the walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the other rooms. the bed was two mattresses placed on top of each other on the floor. the view from out window was looking into someone elses window. very steep stairs. if you are just looking for somewhere basic to put your head down and get washed and changed it's aright.

Pros: Arrived to a smiley face behind the bar, friendly staff who were very helpfull. the room was immaculate when we arrived. would recommend for a cheap stay in amsterdam.
