Funky Chickin is located in the heart of Amsterdam, just a 10-minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station and a 3-minute walk from Dam Square.
How to reach the Funky Chickin?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't need to take a tram as the hotel is only 10 minutes walking distance from the station. If you wish to go by tram you can take tram nr. 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17 from the square in front of the station to 'Dam Square'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 3 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

What a great place to stay in the heart of the dam. perfect location for all the attractions holland has to offer. brilliant host who is very helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. i'll definatly be coming back to the funky chicken again.

The hotel location is excellent! the road is peaceful yet so close to everything. the apartment has an airy feel and the self catering facilities are good. nice welcome from lina and we felt at home very quickly. would definitely go back there.Maybe a little bit expensive...McDonnell

The funky chickin was perfect for our purposes. we were a group of 6 who split into two rooms. the rooms were clean and tidy and provided everything we needed. lina who runs the place was very friendly and accomodating. i would recommend the funky chicken to anybody who is looking for good practical accomodation without a massive cost.Anonymous

The location was good and near to central station.
lina the owner was great and very helpfull and easy to contact for any reason. overall the appartment is ideal for young groups wanting a nice atmospher.The stairs are steap but this is typical of most amsterdamn buildings.Patrick Tyner

The funky chickin is wonderful, and i recommend it highly.
i took an appartment, and it was very clean and comfortable.
it had everything you would need for a self-catering break.
it is also smoker friendly, which makes a great change from the hotels - and is in a fantastic location - just a three minute walk to dam square.
best of all is the hostess lina, who made me feel very welcome. when i arrived in amsterdam, she even picked me up from the railway station on the back of her scooter, and took me to the house.
she also insisted that i carry her phone number during my stay in amsterdam, in case i got into any difficulties, or simply got lost, and said i could call her any time. there aren't many hotel/hostel managers that would do that.

This is a great place to stay...the location is set back just a little from all the hustle and bustle in dam but only a 5 min walk if you want to join in (as you do)! lina was pucker...even when we got slightly carried away one night. she let us leave our bags in her appartment on the monday before we went and even charged my mobile for me ***star***
what can i say...if you are thinking of staying in an appartment in dam, check the "funky chicken", Stairs...but this is a problem throughout dam and not just here, so not really a negative, just a warning.Jamie chang pin tive
