This hotel has a great location between Amsterdam and the Zaanse Schans!
This hotel can be reached in 12 minutes from Amsterdam-Centre. The hotel is situated next to the train station of Zaandam. Would you rather come by car? From the Ring road A10 (Amsterdam) you can reach the hotel within 5 minutes where you can park your car for free on the private parking right next to the hotel.

How to reach the hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: There is a train running from the airport to Zaandam Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. From Zaandam Station you can walk to the hotel as it is next to the train station.
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take a train from Amsterdam Central Station to Zaandam Station. The journey takes about 16 minutes. From there you can walk to the hotel as it is next to the train station.

Good location for getting out and about into all local areas as well as the city itself. helpful staff.
Booked a smoking room but was given non-smoking although staff quickly rectified this. booked a superior room for those little extras such as movie channels on the tv which were not working and also had no bathrobes or slippers for 2 days. although the staff apologised no compensation was offered and in my opinion the room was more standard because of these problems and perhaps this should of been the view when settling the bill.Seim

The staff at this hotel provides outstanding customer service. each staff person we encountered was friendly, professional and very helpful. the train station is next to the hotel so it is very convienent to get into amsterdam or other parts of holland. amsterdam central station is only a 10 minute train ride. zaandam isn't a particularly special town, there isn't really much to see or do there.I definitely wouldn't rate this as a 4 star hotel. i do not know how it got this rating, especially compared to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. the room was very small and quite plain. the restaurant and bar is incredibly overpriced and the food is mediocre. 3 large mugs of beer cost us 24 euros. 15 euros for the breakfast buffet is a rip off, don't waste your money.Midgard

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. the location of the hotel was excellent as the train station was right next to the hotel and it was just 2 stops into amsterdam central station.There were some building works going on which made it a bit noisey during the evening and especially if the window was left open.Anonymous

The location is very good, less than 5 minutes walk to train station. it takes around 10 minutes to get to amsterdam central. very nice staff at the reception makes you feel at home.We could not get uk adapter to plug in our computer. it should be available at the reception.Anonymous

Very good access to amsterdam central being next to train station.Room was not as ice as it looked on web site, much smaller than insinuated. 'luxury' bathroom advertised was just an ordinary bathroom. a bit overpriced given location outside of amsterdam centre and also how it was described.Anonymous

Very welcoming by english speaking staff. room had excellent facilities in good working order. very comfortable beds. bar menu very good and well presented - we had two meals with you and really enjoyed them both.Very noisy wake up call at 7 am each morning by the building workers across the road. luckily i had ear plugs. really needed full double glazing rather than opening windows.Jason Field

It is right beside the zaandam train station.After i came home i received a letter from my credit card issuer asking me to contact them. the hotel had tried to charge my credit card several times. fortunately my credit card issuer had procedures to prevent this and to alert me. Anonymous

Although in zaandam the hotel was 20 yards from the entrance to the rail station. trains ran every 10 min to amsterdam central and with the 10 min journey costing 3.8 euro return, it was a lot better value than a four star hotel in central amsteram.Mr Brian Smith
