Hotel Atlas Amsterdam is situated in a beautiful area alongside the 'Vondelpark'. The hotel is built in impressive Art Nouveau style and though located in quiet surroundings, offers good connections to the inner city either by foot or by tram. The 'Filmmuseum' in the 'Vondelpark', as well as the 'Rijksmuseum', 'Stedelijk Museum' and 'Van Gogh Museum' & the chic PC Hooftstraat ( designer dept. stores) are easy to reach. Easy connection to WTC & RAI.

Hampshire Hotel Atlas is ideally located, only a few minutes away from the Van Gogh Museum, Rijkmuseum (Rembrandt), Stedelijk Museum (Modern Art), the Vondelpark and the famous Concert Hall.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful and quiet area alongside the 'Vondelpark' with good connections to the inner city and walking distance from one of Amsterdam's famous squares "Leidseplein" where you can enjoy the Amsterdam night life.
How to reach the Hampshire Hotel Atlas?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 2 from the square in front of the station to the Jacob obrechtstraat/willemspar. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The position is excellent for the museums and is in a very nice part of amsterdam. the staff were very helpful and obliging.
The room and bathroom were tiny!! you vertually had to turn sideways to walk around the end of the bed. no airconditioning if using in summer.Anonymous

The staff were very helpful with local knowledge and there were plenty of fliers in the foyer. we did not have breakfast, but the selection looked good on the menu and at 10euros, was not a bad price. the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable (although a little short). the building was lovely. there is a really cool dutch bar across the road, with really friendly staff and a good place to go for a late drink. the tram line to the centre was only across the road, so very convenient and you the vondel park is very close. good place to stay as in a quiet area and a taxi back from the centre (last tram from centre is at 0030) cost 13-15 euros. can walk it in about 30 minutes.The immediate area was expensive, as we went out for steak one night and it cost more than when we went for a three course dinner at a michelin star restaurant the next night in the central area.Anonymous

Excellent location if the museum area is for you. the hotel is right next to an entrance to vondel park. good value for the money if you don't pay full in-season price. overall a nice hotel, one of my favorites in a'dam.The bathroom could have been just a little bit cleaner, only a couple of cobwebs up high kept it from being spotless. nothing else negative for me.Anonymous

It's a nice little hotel, but i supose many hotels are little in amsterdam. it was very nice that it was located very close to vondel park which is a beautifull park and near a tram station that coud take you anywhere in the city.The bathroom was too small and not so nice.John Hefer
