How you can get to Heart Of Amsterdam
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes a train runs from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport, go to the central hall. Here is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station run from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Go along Damrak till Dam Square. Turn left onto Damstraat and left again at the second cross to Oudezijds Achterburgwal. The hotel is about 50 meters ahead.

Cons: Unfortunately our six bed room was right next to the roadside and was therefore fairly noisy....
Cons: Bad smell and bed bugs

first of all, the female staff of heart of amsterdam has the worst attitude among all the staff i had ever seen !
second, there are too many bugs such as flea in there !!!
i had gotten almost 40 times of bite that make me hav to see a doctor after i return to my country.
to be honest, i won't recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends. i will never choose this kind of poor, cheap hotel anymore.
in the end, i feel sorry for this poor hotel.
there is almost no advantage of this hotel, maybe except the location only.
Cons: No towels on arrival had to wait until following day for them
Cons: On arrival, the card machine was not working so we had to withdraw cash (from credit cards) every day to pay the bill. this meant we incurred further charges and, while the staff attempted to be accommodating, they were not prepared to offer a discount. breakfast was basic and served in reception but was acceptable.
our "clockwork orange" themed room was far too dark and gloomy, there were items left in the lockers from previous guests and the bathroom facilities were not great (one toilet and often cold shower for 8 people).
Cons: Everything is black and our room was very dark and hot because everything is black. the windows did not go outside but just into the hall way so we could not even open the windows
