"Never again!"

Room had no window on that could open,airco did'nt work,bathroom was terrible.and we'v payd way to mutch for a hotel this bad!! This was once but never again

had a great time, staff were friendly and helpful, bar downstairs, 24 hour food upstairs, easy to access from public transport, decent size room, weird see trhough shower lol but overall a good place to stay

"Budget accomodation"

Accommodation in Amsterdam is notoriously expensive, so I was pleased to discover HEM Hotel offering a budget option. The room was clean and spacious.Main complaint is that our "double" bed was 2 singles pushed together, one of which was lower than the other and creaked. We weren't even given a double blanket. This was the one thing that really disappointed - when I book a double room, that is what I expect to receive!Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed (it is a really budget option, after all!).

Cons: Location in a residential type area with very little tourist type signage in hotel a decent map with local transport links/times would be beneficial.

"HEM HOTEL cheap and clean"

It's not in the center but with the Tram #2 you can go straight to the center, remember that the last is at 00.30 or you must take a taxi. All days we have the room clean.This is the second time.Fabio

"Good value for its price"

Clean sheets and comfortable beds, hot and good pressured shower. Good breakfast for reasonable price (pre-ordered) . Woke up a few times because of other guests were loud in the middle of the night, but that heppens everywhere. Staff were polite and kind. Over all great value for the price. A little far from the city but 5 min. to tram station and tram comes every 10-15 min, straight to city. It was not difficult to figure how to get to city and back. I will stay again.

"Girls on tour."

The hotel might be out of the city centre of amsterdam, but the tram is easy to us. It only costs 8 bucks for a 24 hour pass on the trams. It only costs 25 bucks for a taxi. The 4 man room we stayed in was very clean and tidy and we loved the art outside our window. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, can't beat the price per person it cost us 25 each. Would defo use this hotel again. 5 stars all the way.xxx
