The hotel is located on the corner of the Rembrandtplein and the Herengracht. The Rembrandtplein has a lot of restaurants and clubs. The Veteran hostel hotel is also close to the Waterloo square, Dam Square and Flower Market.

1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 9 or 4 from the square in front of the station to the Rembrandtplein. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. The trams in Amsterdam are running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The only good thing regarding the hotel is the location
although it was very noisy in the early hours of the morning.
Apart from the very steep stairs inside and outside the
building, the room was in need of a good clean and i was bitten by bed bugs. there is no reason why this problem can not be resolved but i suppose you only get what you pay forAnonymous

Good value for money, ideal if you just need a place to sleep and get out and about during the day.Bathroom not the cleanest, pretty noisy place and not very well maintained but for the costs, overall not bad. birtwistle

The pictures on the website are nothing like what you get at the hotel.first impression, it was a flea pit,with mice running round outside,couldnt belieive what we got for our money,bathroom and toilet area, disgusting,and the room was so small we had to move out of each others way to move around the small space which we had.but idel for one person who wanted to be in amsterdam for a weekend just drinking and sleeping,in a prime spot for all bars etc.Anonymous

Good value for money and a good location for bars and coffeshops.Could do with a good clean and a coat of paint wouldn't hurt. would have liked it more if there was tea and coffee in room, or just a kettle would have been nice.Jack Howells

Great location. nice staff. inexpensive as far as europe goes...Bathroom was dirty most of the time. didn't have towels so we had to grab them from an open room. locks we're difficult to figure out on bathroom. it was pretty cheap so we didn't expect much but expected it to be cleaner.Lori
