City Garden Hotel Amsterdam is situated in the centre of Amsterdam. At one side of the hotel you have the Holland Casino and the exciting nightlife that is placed around "Leidseplein", which guarantees entertainment, dining, shopping, cinemas and nightclubs. Also the ancient city centre and its canals are situated in this area.
At the other side of the of the City Garden Hotel you can easily reach the "Museumplein" (Museum square). Here, like the name speaks for itself, you can find museums, theatres and concert buildings.
Near the hotel you can also find the famous "Vondelpark", an ideal place to jog, walk or just sitting/lying and enjoying the sun. At the weekends you can often enjoy a free music concert and not to forget, the many street artists which you can find here.
How to reach the Hotel City Garden?2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram line 2 or 5 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Van Baerlestraat'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 5 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Room, staff, and included breakfast were all wonderful. they had a free internet terminal downstairs upon which guests could check their e-mails and look up information. none of the other properties we stayed at in our 3-weeks in europe had this feature and we missed it sorely! It was a little far from the historic buildings (1-2 miles one way), but i love to walk. i would stay there again. Anonymous

Good service. location is reasonable.1. the hotel demands payment on check in, while invoice is given only at check out! i've never encountered such a thing before... i think i was too stupid to agree for that (they had my credit card as a deposite, why do they need the payment on check in, and if so, why can't they give an invoice on the spot???)
2. one day we came back to the room after being the entire day outside, and was a smell of sewer in the bathroom which spreads into our room. it passed only the other day...Restaino

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good for us, considering the price we have paid.We were four and the room didnt have enough furniture to put our clothes, as they couldnt solve the problem we had to managed.Lausell

This was a great location.i usually stay in around dam square.this was my ninth time in amsterdam and this was by far the best hotel and location i have stayed in.usually you cant get both but hotel andf location were superb.NoAnonymous
