It was in a brilliant location, a 5 minute walk into the leidesplein, vondelpark and not far from the museums. the hotel and room itself was very clean and somebody came to change the sheets and give us fresh towels everyday. there is a television in each room with bbc1 and bbc2 on. breakfast was also nice.The photos on the website are a little deceptive, as we were disappointed with the appearance of the hotel as soon as we got there. the room was also very small. it is just a bed and breakfast, and if you are looking to spend little time in the hotel its a good choice and good for money. breakfast first class and supplies topped up regularly.Towels plenty and clean but could have smelt fresher.

Excellent location! very friendly staff! and immaculate large room!The lift broke while we were there and we had to use the stairs which were extremly steep but the staff were doing what they could to get it fixed. definitely didnt affect out stay!Surprenant

Hotel d'amsterdam was in a great location, very close to the lovely vondel park and within walking distance of restaunts, museums and the tram services. the hotel room was very clean and modern with great facilities. the staff were friendly and could speak veyr good english. the highlight of staying at the hotel was by far the breakfast! there was lots of choose from and it was all delicious!There really wasn't anything negative about this hotel!Anonymous

The location of the hotel was excellent. it was nice and quiet at night despite being in the city centre.The hotel was very basic & the room was very small. i had a problem checking in, i didn't realise the room hadn't been paid for as i gave details of my credit card when booking the room. i was under the impression it had been paid until the hotel asked me for payment.
