Poor washing facilities, broken air vent and poor toliets

Very small room. shower head had to be held.

Strange smells throughout the hotel; clear evidence of damp; the walls and doors are paper thin and as a result any noise in the corridor is disturbing, there was no lightbulb in my bedside lamp, i could not access the safe in the cupboard as there was so little light in the room that i could barely see it let alone configure the mechanism, the room was extremely cramped and did not at all live up to the impression i got from the website, there was no showerhead holder in the shower and the bathroom door didn't lock. other than this i was unhappy with the extremely cramped room and bathroom (my friend had to eat a late night mcdonalds on the toliet as there was so little space in the room itself) and the overall feel/ cleanliness of the place. i would not go back. this place is only good as a last resort and terrible value for money compared to other hotels in amsterdam.

Hotel is extremely primitive. staircase to get to reception, and then to rooms as extremely steep & narrow. rooms are poor, and beds have been crammed in. bunk beds only in our room, which were old, and rickety making for poor sleep. no television, as there was no room. only plus point is excellent location.

The smell in the halls were very bad.

The quality was very poor, with some of my group receiving bites from sleeping in the beds. we saw mice too.

The internet was not working at any time during our stay, which was a significant problem for us as we were visiting on a business trip. it was loud the first few nights but seemed to quiet down after that. the photos on the website are deceiving, so be prepared for very steep and narrow stairs (common in amsterdam) and small lobby and rooms. there was no luggage room as indicated on the website, but they did store our luggage in the lobby (which made it very crowded). showers tended to overshoot the shower stall so the floors tended to be a bit wet, but nothing unmanageable.

The room looked clean and presentable, but we were bitten several times throughout the night by some sort of very small insect.

I bring my mum together,she's 79 years old,but we get a room is 5th floor......no lift!...what u think?

The 2 star rating of this hotel is innaccurate. it should be 1 star or lower. this was more like a hostel. it's ok for back packers. room didn't even have a place to hang clothes.

First room was appalling, dirty stained mattresses, dried blood up the walls (but changed without argument on request). corridors stank of farts and boiled cabbage. wifi only worked within feet of reception desk, but there was no communal area in which to use it. overall, clean and spartan for a backpackers' hostel. not as depicted nor described on the easytobook website.

Hotel was dingy, noisy and smelly. not particularly clean. glad there wasn't a fire as being on the 4th floor, there would've been no chance of escape.

Nothing negative, it cost a little more than i hoped but that is down to the exchange rate :-(
