How to reach the Hotel de Koopermoolen?By taxi, from Schiphol Airport: Taking a taxi from Schiphol Airport costs approximately 40 Euros and the journey takes about 20 minutes.
By train, from Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Train costs: approximately 4 Euros. (go to next step)
From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't have to take the tram as you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Our stay at hotel de koopermoolen was very pleasant, as it was on our previous visit earlier this year. the hotel is situated very close to central station so no need for any
further transport costs once in the city.our room was kept
clean and tidy by staff at all times as was the rest of the
hotel.room prices were very fair compared to others around and all the staff were most pleasant and accommodating no matter what time of day or night it was! all in all a very
happy visit and we'll definitely be booking this hotel on our next visit to amsterdam.

I've stayed in a few hotels in amsterdam and this one so far has been the best. for the amount of money the room was great. we had a triple room and it was clean with fresh sheets, working tv and enough room for us 3 girls. the location for us was great as it was right near a lot of our favourite cafe's.Not that it's a negative but the lift is tiny so if you don't like small spaces i suggest you take the stairs :)crowley

The location was superb for a weekend break and the room was kept tidy at all times with good air ventalation.The breakfast was very basic, walls were thin and its unusual for a 3 star not to even offer a small kettle for hot drinks in the room. the lift was very small (2 people max!)Anonymous

Located right in the red light disctrict, we stayed in the best room of the hotel, the studio: though the room is small, its lovely as a romantic hideout - step out of the (quite high) bed and you can jump into a 2-person jacuzzi & enjoy the flat screen.
room is reached via small stairway, so only choose this room if you can handle it. it was very clean. breakfast was ok but more on a hostel level. (bread & cold cuts, eggs, juice & coffee).
free internet, 30 € parking service for one day (€20 for each additional) - use p&r outside amsterdam for ~ 6€ / day including tram if you stay longer.
hotel can be reached from central station by foot.
if you are staying there, check out the funny people coffee shop in a side alley near the hotel. the coffee shop in the same street with fish tanks is great also, try their milkshakes!

Tv didnt work, two of the rooms side lights didnt work, the room was dirty and even though it was a single and i wasnt expecting much , the room was very cramped and tiny for the money.GARRATT
