How to reach the Hotel de Munck?From Schiphol Airport, by taxi: A taxi to the hotel costs about 35 Euro. Check that price with the driver before you go!
From Schiphol Airport, by train: Underneath the airport there is a train station. Trains run every 20 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station (CS). This takes about 20 minutes. From the central station, follow the directions below.
From Amsterdam Central station: Take tram no. 4 and get off after the 6th stop called 'Prinsengracht'. From there, walk a bit further in the direction of the tram. At the end of the street (at the traffic lights) go left. After approximately 300 meters you'll find the hotel on the left-hand side.

Pleasent staff, clean rooms, nice atmosphere in the dining room, free calls between rooms in the hotel.Steep staircase with a low ceiling which i bumped my head on a couple of times. the vending machine ripped me off when i tried to buy a snickers.Anonymous

Friendly and helpful staff. room and modern bathroom both very clean - and warm. interesting breakfast area - 60s music theme! plenty good hot coffee, wholemeal bread and jam. we would stay here again.Breakfast was plentiful and varied for omnivores (meat, cheese and eggs), but not so good for vegans. more choice of vegan cereals and fruit, and some soya milk, would have been appreciated.Richard Stamp

Good location, clean roomsWe booked 2 rooms with four beds in each. when we got there, one of the beds was a fold up bed, not what we were expecting or wanting. the confirmation e-mail we received stated a price, but hotel owner tried to charge us extra for city tax. we refused to pay this, as was not on the confirmation and no mention of having to pay this on top. had to sahre a bathroom with the room across the hall. this was ok as our party were in the other room, but would have not been exceptable if we hadn't known these peopleMr c p wake

We have just spent 1 night at the de munck. the hotel is easy to find on a number 4 tram (we walked the distance as well) in a good area with good shops and bars. the hotel is basic but clean. continental breakfast filling with lots of fresh food and bread.

Excellent position and cleanDidn't seem to know that we were coming and put us in what we would describe as a shed in the garden- i have already complained to you directly and asked for some re-imbursment as i booked this holiday for my son and his partner as a gift and the rooms shown were not what they were allocated.Adam Wooldridge

The breakfast served, the service by the staff and the hotel owner, robert was excellent and highly personal. the location was also quite good too.The flight of steps, but this is hard to avoid, considering the typical architecture in amsterdam.Nataliya Petrovskaya
