It was well situated and the staff were friendly and helpful the rooms were clean.
I thought it was very expensive for what it was. the interia of the hotel was rather shabby and in desperate need of re-decoration. the room my husband was first allocated was extremely poor for the money we paid. i wouldn't stay there again or recommend it. if it had been much cheaper i would have thought it was fairer value for money. i guess the problem was that i hadn't releasied what a good position it was in and if i stayed in that area again (which was very nice) i would want and expect to pay even more for a nicer hotel.

Hotel was fine and centrally placed between the centre and out-of-town areas like the museums and parks. not particularly central to old town however, but only 15 mins walk or so.
Easytobook.com messed up the booking so only one of our intended rooms was booked. luckily however, the hotel had an extra room free. i won't be using this website again.

The staff were very welcoming on our arrival, the room was spacious and clean, the garden is lovely to sit in and enjoy a drink also the location is good it takes about 10/15 minutes to walk into the centre of town.
Unfortunately when we got to the room that was allocated to us it hadn't been cleaned or made up.but this was soon rectified and didn't spoil our stay at all.

Very clean and nice room. central heating was excellent
Some time we could smell a canabis smoke. even the guy behind the reception desk smoked a sigaret in our presence. it's a pity breakfast wasn't included in the price.

The hotel europa is great for what you pay - clean rooms (ours was a large twin one), a little walk into the heart of amsterdam but not unmanagable. the staff were efficient and the hotel was quiet.
We didn't pay for the breakfasts and were pleased we didn't. the bagel bars and pancake cafes in amsterdam seemed to offer better food to start the day for a more reasonable price.

The gargen was lovely, just what you need in the city. the walking distance to the leidsplein was 5 minutes and a lovely walk. the lady in reception was friendly. vondel park was 1 minute walk and is a must to visit on a sunny day.
The rooms were small, lift was tiny, the layout of the hotel was very complicated. no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. was bitten once or twice in our beds.
