We, Pascale and Rick, welcome you heartily and open-mindedly in the center of Amsterdam. Our cosy two star hotel is located in the heart of the old city on the corner of Leidseplein and "De Jordaan", close to all places of interest like museums (museumpark), theatres, coffee-shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, cinema, casino and shops. The hotel is also close to the taxis and the bus, tram, train and boat stations. Parking facilities are available nearby the hotel. All our rooms are nicely decorated and named after flowers and have private facilities.
Onsite amenities include free internet/e-mail service, free WIFI in the rooms, free safe deposit box at the reception desk, free coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms and in the reception, free maps and service with a smile. Hotel Freeland Amsterdam Location (Map)
Hotel Freeland is close to all places of interest in the heart of the old center, at two minutes walking distance from the colourful Leidseplein and Jordaan.
Near the hotel you will find several museums such as the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank's House, Van Gogh Museum, and the Museum of Modern Arts. Also theatres, coffee-shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, the cinema, casino and shopping areas are nearby.
The hotel is also close to the taxis and the bus, tram, boat and train stations. Parking facilities are available nearby the hotel.
How to reach the Hotel Freeland?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 10 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 1, 2 and 5 from the square in front of the station to the Leidseplein. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 1 min. The hotel is on the right in Marnixstraat when getting off the tram. The trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

We couldn't praise it more! the staff were excellent. the blond woman who served breakfast was a delight. on arrival the young man behind the desk admitted he was new to the position and apologized for not being as helpful as he would have liked. the location was great, the room (number 6) was spacious and clean,it faced to the back of the house and so was very quiet and relaxing. next time to the dam we will be staying at the freeland! 
The only comment we would make is the position of the shower hose.... it makes it very difficult to take a shower without getting buckets of water all over the floor. a minor complaint but worth mentioning as it could cause serious damage.Anonymous

It's in a great location, staff is awesome, breakfast is wonderful, rooms are kept clean. : )I did have a mouse in the room due to construction next door, but it was taken care of immediately, and because of construction next door, it was somewhat loud, but nothing that the hotel could controlPiette

The facilities were what you would expect for the price. the rooms were clean and pleasant. the free help yourself to coffee and tea was much appreciated.
we had a problem with the toilet in our room so we were moved to another room which was just as nice.
the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. all the staff were very polite and friendly.Anonymous

Our return coach left from central station and there was no problem leaving our luggage at hotel until 4p.m.My room choice nos. 16 & 17 although excellent rooms would have been more suitable for those of younger yearsAnonymous
