Really good located with view on the canal, very modern rooms, friendly staff, ideal for groups of friends or individual travelers.
Bathroom was a bit tiny and the walls between the rooms are too thin!

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location of the hotel on a quiet canal near the heart of amsterdam was excellent.
The hotel doesn't offer wireless internet, the room was the tiniest i've ever stayed in (train carriages are wider) and i only managed to open the window by climbing onto the sill and forcing it open with brute strength -- even then it would only stay open as wide as the little timber chock provided would allow (the window weighed a tonne). also cross your fingers that your neighbours are quiet because the walls are paper thin.

Good location, reasonable price and helpful staff.
Steep stairs and many floors. bathroom was for my sole use but was external to my room (i was a bit dissapointed about this.) decore was looking a bit old and the room was a little damp. mosquitoes were also a bit of a problem at night as it was pretty hot and i needed to have the window open. all this said i have roughed it much more than this in the past and it gave me somewhere to crash. never intended to spend much time in the hotel anyway!

Christian in reception is helpful and the location is excellent. the back garden is also a nice place to chill out.
The room is so small i felt like i was in a shoebox. i was eaten alive by midges at night, the windows really, really, really need insect screens over the outside openings during the summer. the room is overpriced.

Lovely deco (all grey, black and white); great shower (water pressure and size); very, very clean; lovely, helpful staff (all three i dealt with); great location
Unfinished wiring (non-dangerous) in room, drains smelled, towel rail was broken (off the wall), no internet (this was clear from the listing, but is a bit surprising nowadays) and some room measurements are extremely narrow even for dutch standards and a room advertised as small (to the extent that two people in a twin room cannot pass each other).
