The hotel was about a ten minute walk from Dam square so it was not a bad location. The staff working there were lovely and helpful people. The breakfast in the morning was good as it is a buffet. The room we stayed in was very small however we were only there for three nights so it was fine for the two of us. Only real advise when booking with this hotel is ask for a room as close to the ground floor as possible. We stayed right up the top and had to climb up 4 flights of stairs to get to it. Although we just saw it as a chance to do some exsercise :-)Apart from this the hotel was good.

"Unexpected"
The hotel was under restoration and therefore we were constantly inhaling dust the entire time we were in the hotel. The check in said 8am - 10pm however we turned up at 10:30am and the reception staff or the owner wasn't there. We were informed by workmen to come back in a few hours! The staff were pleasant enough but the accommodation wasn't up to scratch. Can I please have an explanation as to why we weren't pre warned about the renovation that was taking place. ThanksRichard swann

Pros: The staff were nice and they let us leave our luggage at reception on our departure day (however that is standard practice in most hotels). was in a lovely location by the canals so not too busy but also not to far from the center.
Cons: Lots of negative points unfortunately. i had to complain at the end of our stay as it definitely was not worth the money the were after. we stayed in apartment 16 which had numerous problems. the biggest one was the cleanliness of the place, it could do with a good steam clean! there was also a big leak in the kitchen from the roof over the kitchen work surfaces. other issues included bathroom door wouldn't close / lock, gas hobbs not working and dodgey wiring in plug sockets (thought i was going to die when plugging something in!). overall i would never go there again, not even for half the price we paid.

"The apartments must have been a sight to see in its day"
Pros: The apartments must have been a sight to see in its day. it overlooks a lovely street and has a feel of the 70s about it.
Cons: The british pound prices did not reflect the euro price on the booking form. the room should have been £80.00 but ended up costing £170.90 including the 3% card surchage not mentioned in the booking.
