Pros: Cleanliness of rooms was excellent. breakfast great - good choice and loved the fresh croissants!!
Cons: Room we booked was described as twin/double. as 2 male friends, i asked on the booking for twins only to get a double. brought this to the attention of the owner who said he would change, but never happened. we are now even closer friends!! left early last day and didn't take breakfast but was still charged for this.

"Easy to locate"

Pros: Easy to locate.
Cons: Some of the staff were incredibly rude. we were made to feel as though we were fortunate to have been granted permission stay in spite of the fact that the room was completely over priced. overall we felt we were 'dealt with' in an offhand, unhelpful and rude manner by 75% of the hotel staff from our arrival.

Cons: When we arrived it was further from the centre than we thought. the rooom we were taken to first was freezing cold and was not finished the furnishings were'nt complete no door handles on wardrobe?? we were taken to another room with one door handle on wardrobe!

Cons: The frehness of the hotel was also its disadvantage: lots of things were not finished - the heating didn´t work, the wifi signal was very weak, the tv was installed in the room the last day of our stay - let´s hope that within a few months it will be really great hotel!

Situated in the Oud-West district, Hotel Larende Amsterdam stands on a street that leads directly to Dam Square, the site of Madam Tussauds and the Royal Palace. A tram stop is just 20 metres from the hotel’s front door, and provides access to attractions such as Anne Frankhuis and Westerkerk, as well as connecting up to Central Station and on to Schiphol Airport.
