Hotel Larende Amsterdam    

Great Hotel & staff, good location too, a little out of the centre of Amsterdam, but the tram stop close by made up for that, would visit again

The staff were very helpful in getting us to get around Amsterdam and assisting us with tickets. They were always friendly and greeted us with coffee/tea each time we returned to the hotel.

I travelled alone to Amsterdam, and being a female, I was made to feel safe and at home!The staff were friendly and ever so helpful. The little things mattered like supplying me with a tram pass and map to navigate myself around Amsterdam. Without these things I would not have been able to see and do as much as I did!My room was modern, clean and cosy. The complimentary buffet breakfast was fresh, delicious and a great start to my day!The hotel's location just outside of the city centre was perfect - away from the hustle and bustle. It is a lovely walk to the hotel from the city centre, crossing the 4 main canals and many delightful shops and restaurants which are owned and run by people of various nationalities. This helped to add extra flavour to my stay in this beautiful Dutch city. Everything I needed to purchase was within arms reach and I even managed to become a known face at some of the shops and restaurants I frequented each day. Or if you don't feel like walking to/from the hotel then the tram stop right outside gets you to the city centre within minutes.I enjoyed my stay immensely at Hotel Larende and I can't compliment it enough. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit the beautiful city of Amsterdam!

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The owner and his son are extremely hospitable. There was no phone in the room but the staff was great about making calls for us. They made dinner reservations and called taxis for us. The location is a teeny bit out of the way but very accessible and easy to find. Would most definitely stay again!

Pros: The stay at this hotel was excellent the staff were really friendly

Pros: Cleanliness of rooms was excellent. breakfast great - good choice and loved the fresh croissants!!
Cons: Room we booked was described as twin/double. as 2 male friends, i asked on the booking for twins only to get a double. brought this to the attention of the owner who said he would change, but never happened. we are now even closer friends!! left early last day and didn't take breakfast but was still charged for this.

Pros: Easy to locate.
Cons: Some of the staff were incredibly rude. we were made to feel as though we were fortunate to have been granted permission stay in spite of the fact that the room was completely over priced. overall we felt we were 'dealt with' in an offhand, unhelpful and rude manner by 75% of the hotel staff from our arrival.

Pros: Rooms were very clean and modern.
Cons: When we arrived it was further from the centre than we thought. the rooom we were taken to first was freezing cold and was not finished the furnishings were'nt complete no door handles on wardrobe?? we were taken to another room with one door handle on wardrobe!

Pros: It is good, clean, has lift and very friendly and helpful staff

Cons: The frehness of the hotel was also its disadvantage: lots of things were not finished - the heating didn´t work, the wifi signal was very weak, the tv was installed in the room the last day of our stay - let´s hope that within a few months it will be really great hotel!

Pros: Great, recently opened and in immaculate condition. very clean and comfortable
Cons: Room shower mixer wasn`t working and i had to shower in a different room.

Cons: Beds were brick hard , and soundproofing not up to uk standard, minor complaints that may not effect everyone.
